Business Management and Marketing intern joins Cobra

on Monday, 27 January 2020. Posted in January 2020

Cobra Simulation has been trading steadily for over five years and we are now at the start of a growth plan that will see us extend our capabilities and expand our markets. A key element of the growth plan is people. The right people – intelligent, enthusiastic and ambitious for themselves, for Cobra and for our customers.

Accordingly, we are delighted to welcome Jakub Welna to the team. Jakub is currently in his 3rd year of studying Business Management with Marketing at Edinburgh Napier University and is joining us on a student internship, working in our Sales & Marketing team for the next six months as a Marketing Assistant.

One of the main benefits for Jakub here at Cobra is that he will receive more hands-on training, real experience and mentoring opportunities. The clear benefit to Cobra and our customers is Jakub’s currency in Business Management theory and his evangelism for our affordable simulation philosophy. Over his internship not only will he participate in our business development and marketing programme but his will also have the opportunity to build confidence and leadership by taking increased responsibility for many aspects of what we do. Of course, as part of the Cobra team his role is not a desk job – he will be fully trained on our assembly processes and all aspects of our product delivery.

Here at Cobra we believe in opportunity. A substantial number of students finish their degrees lacking the skills employers need, typically in the softer skills like professionalism, leadership and communicating effectively. At Cobra we do our best help the students close the gap with real-world experience in an internship, and at the same time develop future graduates to be ready to hit the ground running when transitioning from a University to a working environment.
